Sixth Grade Social Dance
Spring is around the corner, time for the 6th Grade Social Dance!
The dance portion of the program (60 minutes) will cover basic principles of the waltz, rumba, and swing. The etiquette portion (15 minutes) will cover greetings and introductions, rsvp’s, thank you notes, technology etiquette, and common daily courtesies. This course is designed to be fun and informative while promoting students’ self-esteem and enjoyment of dance and the arts. The instructors will assign and rotate dance partners for each dance exercise to minimize any awkward jitters. The last class will be a party for students to practice the dances they’ve learned. The cost of the program is $175. This includes tuition and bus transportation. Need-based scholarships may be available. Contact Matt Mehler to determine eligibility.
